About Me

My photo
I'm a mid twenties girl. Who has the cutest two boys ever. I'm married to the best hubby ever (aka the Man). I'm also a teacher of sixth grade with a masters degree in Education. I'd rather be busy than bored. I love things bright and beautiful and my family means the world to me.

12 Weeks!!

( clearly I need to work on my bump pictures)

How far along? 12 weeks, knocking on the door of our second trimester!!
Size of the baby? Plum

Maternity Clothes? I've already had to buy newer bras twice and new camis. With the encouragement of the Man I also bought my first pair of pants!!
Weight Gain? shockingly, only 3 pounds
Stretch Marks? Nope
Gender? Not until November
Movement? Too early, but I'm paying close attention to it.
Sleep? Really depends on the night. I'm not totally comfortable on my stomach but I've figured it out for now.
Food Cravings? French fries, the other night I wanted queso dip, but more towards bread. I normally have a sweet tooth, but its faded.
What I Miss? My energy, I feel better since the nausea has worn off, but no where near regular
Symptoms? Nausea and headaches on and off, luckily not long lasting
Best Moment of the Week? Sharing the news with family, friends, my students, and other staff.

Still here.....

It's been ups and downs over the last two weeks for us, so to sum it up- bullet points.
  • Some days Tucker loves going to school, on the days he doesn't there are small, tiny, little tears. Naturally his hormonal mother sheds her own small, tiny, little tears.
  • My class this year likes to ask questions. About anything, everything, multiple times. I very much enjoy this class and think we'll have a lot of fun together- once we learn patience.
  • The Man is doing awesome in school this semester, I love helping him study and helping him realize that he's doing such a great job.
  • My birthday was last weekend and our baby gave me the best gift of very little nausea that day.
  • All my school pants are too tight to button, luckily they stay zipped and I wear a belt. If my pants are just the slightest bit too tight my day does not go well.
  • I weighed myself this morning and haven't gained anything, my boobs would disagree.
  • Tucker is already showing more independence and he's only been in school two weeks. Someone is not a little boy anymore.
  • The Man was extremely amazing and ran to Wendy's super late last night and got me the best snack EVER!
  • Yesterday was not a good feeling day for me, so the Man and Tucker did errands with me, including Micheal's, Target, Kohl's, and Old Navy where hubs gave me a much needed opinion on maternity pants.
  • I still haven't bought any maternity pants, but its not far off. Bras on the other hand........
Nothing too exciting, just living our crazy life!

It's been a busy couple of days!

Tuesday was an all around whirlwind day. We had our second teacher work day, which started with a three hour faculty meeting (yikes!). Luckily our team discussed a lot of stuff and got some good things decided for the beginning of the year. But I got to leave school a bit early to get some great news and a few pictures:
We have one beautiful, healthy baby. We couldn't hear the heartbeat but the ultrasound picked it up and the doc said that it was a great looking beat and the baby measured exactly at eight weeks.

Following the appointment I picked up Tucker and we headed out to his "Meet the Teacher Night". After finding his room and sorting out supplies he tried to say good-bye, like I was leaving him there! Wasn't happening! We had his school picture taken. Unfortunately by the time we left his classroom I was already feeling tired. Then navigating the halls with tons of kids and parents who acted as if they'd never been to the school before, I was more than ready to get home. Luckily, Tucker was just as over the crowd as I was. Bed time could not come soon enough for me Tuesday.

Yesterday was our activity day with the sixth graders and then our "Meet the Teacher". The 10 hour day got to me! We danced, sang, played games, talked, meet all the students, had time to work in our rooms, then did the whole parent meet and greet. Needless to say, I slept in this morning!
