In case you missed it...

I let the cat outta the bag you could say. I had been trying to keep from putting the Man and "T"'s name in my blog. Finally this weekend I figured, what the heck. Our son's name is Tucker. I found it on a baby name website and its the first name the Man and I truly agreed on.

Moving on, today while doing some other random errands I found myself stopping in at Old Navy. The store just sucked me right in! Man I hate when that happens. So while walking through a couple random things ended up being bought- oops, sorry hon.

I plan on putting a cardigan over this, and a cami or t-shirt under it. I got a plain white t for 5 bucks. A super cute button up that isn't online yet. I picked up a short sleeve tie at the waist top that I'll be returning. Doesn't sit well on the hips or look too cute. So many great, super cute dresses were out already. At Old Navy prices I would love to stock up but it's hard to hide dresses in the closet :)

Top 10 Tuesday!

10 Ten Favorite Memories of Tucker (so far)

10 Little boy crush on Holly the fire fighter, its gotten better. I think she's been forgotten!

9 Finding out Tucker was "Tucker". I will forever remember the Man's expression and our families when we told them we were having a boy. Someone was relieved he could "make a boy" I think was what was said :)

8 Being woken up last night at 3am for him to tell me he loved me more than the moon and back. Then turn around and go right back to bed.

7 The first night I left "the boys" home together I got home to find them cuddled on the couch sleeping so hard. I still need to scan the picture to save it.

6 His first bath- never, EVER have I heard a child scream louder. If my mother hadn't been there telling me he was okay and that we could just get it done he never would have gotten clean the first month.

5 Sometimes he laughs so hard he gets the hiccups- just like his momma! Love it every time.

4 Last Christmas Tucker got a bike from Santa, after unwrapping it and checking out the cool Lightning McQueen bag he got a really sad face. When asked if he liked what Santa got him he said "No, Santa forgot the candy cane." Anytime someone asked about his Santa gift, THATS what he said!
3 He's in love with Michael Phelps, cheered him on every race during the summer Olympics. Looks for him every time we visit the pool.
2 This smile, also a little of his mama. What can I say, when we're happy, you know it!

1 Every other minute I get to spend with him. I won't remember all of them but I'm thankful everyday!!
*Next week I promise to do something less mama-mushy!

Watch out for the Orca Masters!!!

So you're probably wondering where yesterdays "top ten" topic came from. I don't know it I've mentioned it but I'm a Master swimmer. It has nothing to do with speed or ability, its more age. To join you have to be over 18 and not involved with college or university teams. I joined after coaching with the team for a awhile.

February is "February Fitness", which means you swim as many days out the month or has many yards as you can. It's a lot of fun getting out of bed at 5:00am to meet up with some other die hards for the sake of some good fun fitness. Our teams goal this year is to swim over 3,000,000 yards together. No other team as ever done it and we've won the contest the last two years. We're competing against Master's teams from all over the country.

I'm enjoying the break from running, however, after doing a timed run with my kids again for PE I might get back to some short distances until swim contest is over. I'm definitely one that has to be enjoying fitness otherwise I drop it fast.

This weekend should be a great one. It's the 90th birthday for the Man's grandpa and our favorite aunt flew into town for it. I love a good time with family! Happy Friday!

We're continuing to battle the cold/flu bug going around our whole house. This weekend is the Man's grandpa's 90th birthday. Should be good times! Swimming lately has actually helped clear out my system, but I still have to find a way to catch up on my sleep :)

Let it SNOW, let it SNOW, let it SNOW.

So it might be Christmas tune, but baby LET IT SNOW!!!

I'm already home, in some comfy jeans and ready to attack my "to do" list. Just little things, dusting, putting away clothes, maybe laundry. T is still in school for the afternoon so I might go through some more toys.

Does anyone feel like they're in kind of a wardrobe slump? I feel like I've worn everything in my closet to school already. I'd like to spice up some things, maybe attempt to copy some cute jewelry. I think it's just winter, I love the snow, especially since we're going on skiing field trip on Friday- YIKES. But some 50 degree weather would be nice.

Okay, I'm going to indulge in my favorite blogs for a bit then head to "work"! Stay warm everyone.

A realization

So I've been thinking and planning for my new closet, but that's not what's on my mind- right now.

I've been a little irritated with the Man for a while, since Sunday morning to be exact. That afternoon and Monday felt really strained for me. I did add morning swims back to my already kinda busy schedule, but I missed swimming. So I was getting up earlier, no cuddling in the morning and completely crashing at night.

So Pink is on Oprah, right now actually. She just mentioned how part of what her break-up with her husband was that she wasn't what she wanted to be. But that didn't stop her from criticizing her husband to the point of separating. Now, the Man and I are NO WHERE near that point. I'm still in love with and enjoy coming home to him everyday, even if we don't "jump each other" every time we see one another.

We've been trying to plan a lot of stuff lately. Getting ourselves ready for what all the house will bring, what items we're going to buy and when, our plan for paying off school loans, stuff like that. As mentioned before ( a bunch I think) I'd like to start trying for our second baby next year. I thought we had a pretty good idea of things to come and Sunday the Man kind of threw me. Pretty much said no baby next year, not going to happen, other stuff he wants to take care of first. This wasn't an argument just conversation. Literally, part of me just crashed.

I went from being somewhat excited that we would be doing this again together (only planned of course) to almost feeling like we would never have another baby. That this was his decision. There were things about my career we talked about that seemed onesided. I was literally heartbroken Sunday, and Monday I felt in shock. Wednesday night I went to dinner with my mom, vented a lot, then Thursday I talked with my MIL when I picked up T- she somehow knew something was up. Please note- I did NOT bash my husband, nor did I go into a lot detail with either one about why I was upset (hello, they BOTH want more grandchildren).

The week has carried on, the Man and I talk and carry on. I know that part of my feelings were an over reaction. The Man has said he's okay with having another, but it just needs to be the "right time". When you're a planner like me I need something to hold onto, a year, a month, something!!!

So Pink mentioned that she had expectations for her husband and not herself. I feel that the Man should support me in what I do, and I what I want. But I turned myself off to the idea of what he wants. That some things I want are things he really doesn't want. Can I say we're not having a baby? NO Can I say we are? NO But the book isn't closed.

This weekend we'll talk. I'll actually share my feelings, listen to his and hopefully come up with something or some kind of plan for everything we want. Together.

*Edit- so after reading this again. It seems like I don't think of our son at all. Which is NOT the case. We try to everything for him or in a way that includes him or considers what's best for him. He is the best thing that I have ever accomplished in my life.

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Guilty Pleasures
10 Organizing- seriously it's sad, but I can find a way to organize ANYTHING!

9 Reality TV- love it, The Man hates it. Hence the reason we have to TV's hooked to cable

8 Celeb info- I love a good People magazine, throw in a little US. I love to see who is wearing what, who's "in love" with who, fascinating world that is constantly blown out of proportion

7 Window shopping (at least for now :) )
6 Movies in the theater with popcorn and Buncha crunch

5 Skinny caramel mochiato's, YUM!

4 The Blog World- I enjoy catching up with my favorite blogs on a semi-regular basis, its an easy way to catch up styles, products, and the lives of other mama's
3 Underwear, I love a good pair of undies with a hot little bra. Sure this is pretty much for only one guy, but be honest, when you put on a pair of sexy underoo's or lacy bra, there's a little more strut to your step

2 Sweets, mmmmmm! A yummy dessert is my favorite part of the meal. I have a terrible sweet tooth that can't be ignored for long periods of time. Cookies, cakes, bars, I don't discriminate :)

1 I absolutely love laying in bed with my hubby. It's cheesy and all but serious time can fly by and we just lay together catching up, planning, playing, whatever.
