Meet Ryker!!

So this post has been a long time in the making. I started it a few nights ago while feeding and have been slowly trying to get it done. So here he is!!

Ryker James, born April 14th, a little before 9. Weighing in at 8 lbs 9 oz and 21 1/4 inches long. 

 

 His older brother is absolutely smitten with him! Tucker loves singing to him and giving kisses. Everyday when I pick him up from school he asks how Ryker's day was, so sweet!!

My delivery went great. We got to the hospital around 3 and my epidural was ordered immediately. After four agonizing tries the doctor was able to get it in- holy ouch!! A bit later they broke my water then started Pitocin. My contractions stayed pretty much 3 minutes apart from about 1:30 until 6. Just like with Tucker I dilated to 6 then stayed. My doctor came in and said it was most likely going to be another four hours. And just like with Tucker, within the next hour Ryker was delivered, we aim to keep doctors on their toes ;) 

I'm healing well, mostly just trying to get used to a body without a baby. Ryker went back in for a check-up this Monday, April 22 and already weighed in at 9lbs 1 oz. He's an eater! We're getting used to a family four, I'm loving my life with my three boys!!
